3 days back to me…. .
After spending two months without my workouts, giving in a little too much to the “Eat, Drink, & Be Merry” of the holiday season, my body needed some help so I could make the comeback stronger than the setback. .
So 3 days of eating & drinking the good stuff-- water, herbal tea, plant-based whole foods, vitamins & minerals & protein essential to my well-being—post Day 3 was the best workout I had had in months! I could feel my muscles wanting to support & work right for me again. .
While it wasn’t about weight-loss for me personally (I’ve been in maintenance mode, or rather just continuing to be better every day for a while now) I did shed 3 pounds over these 3 days. Weight that was “fine,” but starting to feel a little heavy because the source of where it came from. I had even noticed in my skin & my face—just a little puffy & swollen & taxed. .
Be kind to your body. It does a lot of work for you, especially during the EAT, DRINK of the holidays we have just come off of. . “We are not a textbook. We are living, breathing beings & it feels good to move [& feel most] like ourselves.” .
One of the gals who refreshed her body & mind with me these 3 days described the experience w/the best mindset that helped me better embrace what I had accomplished too: “I woke this morning with the usual Refresh Day 2 headache. I actually embraced it - it means it’s working. It means I’m resetting. It means I had too much sugar that doesn’t serve me. Feeling proud.” .
