Give us a 🙌 if you do! ⁣ ⁣ Here’s an awesome way to target your hamstrings with a single resistance band!⁣ ⁣ Attach your band about 1-2 feet off the floor (you may need to adjust this depending on your height). Then position your body so that your legs are facing away from the band attachment point. Hook the band around your foot. While keeping a straight leg and flexed foot, lift and lower using the hamstring to control the movement.⁣ ⁣ Give it a try and tag us in your post!

Seeking stability? * Life is unpredictable and rarely perfectly balanced. Our training should reflect that. * Increasing stability helps our bodies navigate unforeseen situations. This doesn’t necessarily mean we need to spend 3 hours a week balancing on one foot and juggling. Instead we can challenge our ability to stabilize with small tweaks to exercises you already know. * 1️⃣ Stirring the Pot- by adding the stability ball to the plank, you force the body to work harder to keep that position still. Feel confident with that movement? Make circles with the ball by moving the elbows clockwise and counterclockwise. 2️⃣ Hamstring Curls- you may be familiar with hamstring curls on a machine. By adding the ball under your feet, your glutes and trunk musculature get involved as they work to keep your body from flopping around. * Remember the ball is just one tool you can use to challenge stability! As a personal trainer I work with many individuals who are on a mission to lose weight. You CAN NOT lose weight without a calorie deficit, and it is extremely difficult to create a deficit when eating high calorie, low quality foods. So many individuals overlook the importance of monitoring their diet and tend to over eat, negating the hard work they are putting in at the gym, and it can be frustrating! Start with the basics and keep it simple. More meals at home, good quality foods, moderate portions. If you're at a plateau, try logging for a week or two, many people are surprised at how much they actually are eating. And above all be honest with yourself! One of my favorite sayings " you can't be upset for the results you didn't get, with the work you didn't put in " (out something like that 😂). Lastly, don't compare yourself to others! I know it's easy to do, but if their style of eating doesn't work for you, oh well that's life! Slide over is 2.5 hours of exercise for me today. 5 mile run, weights and yoga. Only 700 calories!
