Alhamdulillah hit a new 3rep max pr 167.5-3. slowly working through program just started phase 2. Phase 1 was building up to hitting that 5 rep max and now the intensity has increased in this new phase. Strength does feel like it has gone up so hoping for new pr’s at the end. Making sure I’m stretching before and after workouts to prevent any muscle tightness and taking sufficient rest to optimise performance in each workout. Using new exercises and techniques such as deficit deadlifts and block pulls for secondary movements to help with leg drive and pulling strength. #jdgymsbatley #personaltrainer #deadlifts #pr

Tight hamstrings reduce the mobility of the pelvis, which can put pressure on the lower back resulting in acute or chronic lower back pain. Strengthening and stretching the hamstrings can prevent them from becoming too tight and provide extra support for the back and pelvis. 2️⃣ INJURY. Keeping the hamstrings loose will lower the chance of straining or tearing the muscle fibres during strenuous physical activities such as running by increasing flexibility and improving the range of motion in the hips. Both of these benefits will help you perform daily tasks, such as walking up stairs and bending over, with ease. 3️⃣POSTURE. When the hamstrings are too tight, the muscles rotate the pelvis backward. Za celkový pohyb v našom tele je zodpovedná myofascia (myo - sval, fascia - tkanivo, ktoré nás tvorí). Myofascia má na starosti všetky pohyby, ktoré robíme. Má viacero vlastností a viacero funkcií. 🤷 Jednou z jej funkcií je ,,Stretch Shortening cycle" (princíp natiahnutia a skrátanie). V skratke to znamená, že myofascia ma schopnosť nazbierať elastickú energiu (fascia ma vlastnosť ako elastická plachta) za krátku chvíľku, čim ušetrí telu energiu (ako skákalka) z celkovej práce napr. svalov (ktoré spotrebujú veľa energie na svoju činnosť). 😎 Dôvod prečo je myofascia tohto schopná bola potreba tela ušetriť čo najviac energie pri prechádzkach, ktoré sme museli vykonať aby sme v dnešnej dobe mohli byť po celej Zemi. Stress . . Along with sleep, this for me is what the general public really underestimate that could be restricting them from hitting and achieving their health and fitness goals. . . As much as people stress a calorie deficit is a key driver for fat loss, sleep and stress also play a very vital role in the process as well. . . You can get someone counting calories and in a deficit but if they are stressed, tired and rundown then they’re not going to succeed. . . There are many signs of someone who manages stress very poorly that can be anything along the lines of poor gut health, lack of energy in training sessions and poor sleep patterns. You can train as hard and as regular as you want but if your recovery is poor you’re just going to be running yourself into a wall. . . Personally myself when work gets a bit too much I tend to manage stress very poorly. Over the last few years I’ve made some adaptations that I found work well for me which I have listed below. . . ◾️Mobile phone in the other room for the last hour and a half of the day and not answered until upon wake in the morning. There is no coincidence that people who use electronic devices before they go to sleep especially mobile phones have poor sleep patterns and struggle with sleep. ◾️My training sessions are my own time. This is really important to me as this is my time and no one else’s. I get a good playlist on Spotify ready to work out and then again I don’t check my phone until I’ve completed my sessions sometimes, if I’m really stressed I will just switch my phone onto Airplane Mode so I don’t check my phone or no one disturbs during my training session. ◾️Sunday is my only day off from work at the moment, I try my best to keep contact from work to a minimum from clients and I also don’t talk to my fiancé about work on a Sunday. ◾️MAKE MORE TIME FOR YOUR LOVED ONES. This last point is really underestimated on what I find people don’t do enough day in day out. Wondering why you’re so tired and stressed? When was the last time you had a holiday with your friends, family or partner or even spent a day at the weekend together outside of your home.

🔥WHY YOU'RE STILL NOT LOSING WEIGHT🔥 * NOT TRACKING EVERYTHING - If your means of ensuring you are in a calorie deficit is by tracking your calories then great. Make sure EVERYTHING is logged. Little picky trips to the fridge, the extra fish finger off the kids plate. It all adds up. Your progress could be hindered by mis-reporting, sometimes unintentionally by just forgetting what you've eaten during the day. Little tip is to log before you've eaten or make a note of it for later on 👍 * LIQUID CALORIES - This catches a lot of people out. For eg a 500ml bottle of coca cola is 200kcal. If you're having a couple of these a day and your daily calorie total is 1500kcals then you can see that's nearly 1/3 your calories on liquid. Not the smartest of approaches I'd suggest. However your calories are yours to do as you see fit so if you want a bottle of coke then just log it but understand it just means less actual food you'll be able to have. Maybe swap to Diet versions (0kcals), meaning more food you can eat 👍 Also, oils used in cooking do catch people out as well. As oils are all fat they do have a high calorie content (9kcals per gram) and make your meals much more calorific. If you do use oils just track them or alternatively swap for a 1kcal spray like 'fry light' 👍 * REDUCED ACTIVITY - The body is very clever during a calorie restriction (dieting) and will look to preserve energy. It does this by reducing our movement and you may not even be aware of it. You'll find you fidget less, take the lift instead of stairs, take the car instead of walking, make you want to skip gym sessions. All of this impacts your energy output. You may tick all the right boxes as far as 'calories IN' is concerned, your 'calories OUT' may be compromised meaning you arent burning as many calories as you think therefore not actually in a deficit. Hit your workouts every week, get a step counter on your phone/watch and hit a daily step target everyday 👍 * WEEKENDS OFF - The biggest barrier to fat loss i've come across. Coaches can help up to a point with support, education and giving you direction but it ultimately comes down to the individuals CONTINUED IN COMMENTS.....

And if you don’t know you’re doing better, motivation might not be as high. And then when that goes, boom!
