I popped into las iguanas the other day and had this absolutely delicious naked burrito bowl. Pear Crumble Muffins 🍐 @blondiesbaking_ 💪👩‍🍳 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce 1 tbsp brown sugar Splenda 2 tbsp stevia 1/2 cup milk of choice 1/4 cup vanilla @liquidmuscle LIQUID MUSCLE 💪 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 pear chopped Crumble topping: 2 tbsp oats 1 tbsp brown sugar Splenda 1 tsp cinnamon Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375F and line spray a muffin tin with non stick spray. 2. Mix the crumble topping ingredients in a medium bowl. Set aside. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside. 3. In a large bowl combine applesauce, brown sugar Splenda, stevia, milk, LIQUID MUSCLE and vanilla. Add the flour mixture to the wet. Mix until combined. 4. Fold in the chopped pears. Evenly divide batter into prepared muffin tin. Top each one with the crumble. Bake for 20-22 minutes. Enjoy! This weeks marks the end of week 1 of my new weight trainjng program. I also started a new program called the power of I am. A major light bulb went off for me last night on the call. What you eat fuels your body, but also your mind and your emotions and ultimately your spirit. Those words were a key to unlock my determination to be the new version of me today!!! What did that involve? Me getting up at a different time, having the healthiest breakfast I can have, packing a balanced lunch and drinking lots of water. It also marked day 15 of no soda. Committing to one small change for 30 days is gonna add up to a big change after 365 days. It also marked me completing one of the hardest workouts I have done for a while!!! When do you take your vitamins? I've been experimenting with this for a few months because here's the thing: No matter how pure your food and vitamins are, if you consume them when you're stressed, your absorption will be less than optimal. So should you take vitamins ( even whole foods multis) when you're on the go, dealing with projects, handling your hustle like the leader you are? No. Try to find the time of day when you are most relaxed before and after for a few hours. Of course you'll add a significant amount of water to the mix to help the process but see if this makes a difference for you. For me, after dinner/ a few hours before bed is the calmest time to take these supplements so my body can glean the maximum benefit. ---🌸 Pᴇʀᴍɪssɪᴏɴ ᴛᴏ ᴛᴀᴋᴇ Aᴄᴛɪᴏɴ I’m feeling super proud of myself this morning as I completed my first parkrun. An achievement, that for me, came with its fare share of convincing. Let me share with you what I mean... . I’ve been coasting through life for these last 40+ years, experiencing some amazing things and observing many more. And this week, during a meditation, I was reminded of some events in my life where I didn’t take action. I let opportunities pass me by. Now, don’t get me wrong - I have no regrets. It just got me to thinking, what would I be doing differently if I had taken action in those moments. . What if I hadn’t shied away or talk myself out of action? This has been my challenge for many years and it’s exactly where I was at this week until I heard something that resonated with me so profoundly, I knew it was my answer. . Pᴇʀᴍɪssɪᴏɴ - Jᴜsᴛ ɢɪᴠᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀsᴇʟғ ᴘᴇʀᴍɪssɪᴏɴ. . What if I give myself permission to move past these blocks? YES!! . So as the excuses started flowing last night, reasons why I could miss park run today, I knew in my heart that I would be letting myself down - again. . 𝙎𝙤 𝙄 𝙜𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙖 𝙜𝙤!! . And here I am, at the finish line, feeling amazing & super proud of myself for giving it a go. . So, if you find yourself feeling stuck or shying away from opportunities/experiences, perhaps try giving yourself permission, however that looks for you. Life is short & we all deserve the amazing experiences that come our way. . With love & light 💕

Tracking and analyzing your progress is so important to get results. For body transformations don't just use the scales as a measure of progress. These photos are form my last cut and I lost a total of only 3kg in 11 weeks! If I went by just the scales I definitely wouldn't have been happy with that result so use measurements and photos as a lot of the time the scales doesn't give an accurate picture of all the change that is happening. Try to analyze your data at least weekly to see that you are progressing or if you might have to change something. I recommend tracking your weekly average weight as there can be quite a lot of daily fluctuations. Compare the weekly average to last weeks average and see if it is moving in the right direction. Is it accurate to how you feel looking in the mirror or your measurements/ check in photos? Have a look at your calories, how was your weekly compliance? Did you stick to your calories? Are they too low or too high for you to be adherent? Has your weight plateaued for a few weeks? Do you have an event on next week that require you to adjust your calories leading up to that event to still be compliant to your weekly calorie targets? If you were not compliant what can you do this week to do better? Don't blame genetics or the diet for not working when you are not putting in the effort. Effort doesn't only mean training harder in the gym, it also means doing the little things like tracking your progress and analyzing what you can change to make it easier, not harder. Following strict meal plans or restrictive diets might get you short term results but creating habits of analyzing your own progress and being able to make changes (or ask your coach to make changes) is what is going to get you long term results. Food sources of protein! . . Here is a quick guide to sources of protein - including both plant and animal sources! 🙌🏼 . . Protein regulates satiety, helps build muscle, used for cell growth + repair, can be used as energy and is important in regulating our bodily functions (💡 hormones, immunity, enzymatic processes). . . Too often people lack protein at breakfast, they may include some in their lunch and then whack a punch at dinner time. Not to mention lacking at snack times. We call this back-ending protein intake and it is not considered optimal. . . Number 1️⃣ priority is getting enough protein for your needs - this is specific to you, and Dietitian’s/Nutritionist’s can help with this. Number 2️⃣ is the timing of the protein. . . To have the greatest benefits whether it’s general health, weight loss or even muscle building... a guide is to include 20-30 g of protein in our meals/snacks every 2-5 hours. The guide shown in this post is also great for being mindful of portion sizes (+ leaving more room to get your veggies in 😉) . . For those who are wanting to gain muscle, a common misconception is if 20-30g every 2-5 hours is optimal then more must = better... nope, not necessarily ❌ . . Note: you can change the serves above to meet your needs or preference. i.e. halve two types of each of the amounts listed to have variety OR have higher amounts than listed as per your needs. . . 👉Neck Controlled Articular Rotations👈 . Your neck is the base of your ~10-15 lb skull and sometimes can result in stiffness, aches and discomfort . What's demonstrated here is a simple Neck Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) which was popularized by Dr. Andreo Spina. There are many variations of this exercise. For today, I added weights on both arms to engage my shoulders. This is totally optional . The purpose of this exercise is to maintain constant control of the movement of your cervical spine (neck) while challenging it at it's end range motion. It should take about 30 seconds to 1 minute to complete one round (Clockwise to Counter Clockwise). What I typically will prescribe is 5-6 rounds a day . The hope after completing this is improved range of motion and decrease in pain. Of course, as with any exercise, if you experience pain or weird sensations down the arm, it is best to consult with your trusty chiropractor or physical therapist to rule out any underlying issues . **In Pain?
