Die heilenden Öle des Ayurveda • Mindestens genauso wichtig wie die Massagetechnik sind die Öle, die bei den ayurvedischen Massagen benutzt werden. Im Original Ayurveda in Indien und Sri Lanka werden nur Kräuteröle eingesetzt. Jeder, der dort schon mal eine Ayurvedakur erlebt hat, wird den sanften-erdigen Duft nicht vergessen. Alles duftet nach den heilenden Ölen. Bis zu 50 verschiedene Kräuter sind darin enthalten. In einem viele Tage bis Wochen dauernden Herstellungsprozess werden frische und getrocknete Kräuter oder Wurzeln, manchmal auch der Pflanzensaft, zu einem genau vorgegebenen Zeitpunkt hinzugefügt, verrührt und langsam gekocht und immer wieder gerührt. Diese traditionellen Rezepturen beruhen auf den Jahrtausende alten Schriften des Ayurveda. Durch den langen Kochprozess, nimmt das Öl die Energetik der jeweiligen Wirksubstanzen an und verändert seine Molekülstruktur, sodass es tief in die Gewebeschichten eindringen kann und sich die Kräuterwirkstoffe entfalten können. Als Basisöl wird Sesamöl (wärmend, bei Vata), Kokosöl (kühlend, bei Pitta) und Senföl (erhitzend, bei Kapha) verwendet. Wirklich erstaunlich ist auch, dass durch bestimmte zugesetzte Kräuter z.B. das Sesamöl auch eine kühlende Wirkung bekommen kann. Manche Öle enthalten zusätzlich noch andere Öle und Fette wie Rizinusöl oder Ghee. Je mehr Inhaltsstoffe ein Öl hat, desto aufwändiger ist die Herstellung und umso erstaunlicher die Wirksamkeit. Oft verschwinden nach wenigen Massagen Beschwerden, von denen man schon jahrelang geplagt wurde, wie z. B. Gelenkschmerzen, rheumatische Beschweren, Krämpfe, Rückenschmerzen, Muskelschwäche, Hautprobleme usw. Um das richtige Öl für den jeweiligen Menschen auszuwählen, braucht es natürlich eine professionelle Anamnese und viel Erfahrung in der Ayurveda-Therapie. Vata est le principe du mouvement, de la légèreté et de la créativité. En déséquilibre, il donne de l'irrégularité dans le corps et l'esprit; "spacing out", anxiété, sécheresse dans le corps etc. Vata est fait à partir des éléments les plus subtils des 5 éléments, il faut l'équilibrer avec l'ancrage et le poids de l'élément terre. Welcome to our teacher spotlight! Meet Sarah! What's your story? When I first started practicing yoga it was purely physical. I loved the connection between movement and breath and how natural it felt in my body. I quickly became interested and inspired by my teachers dharma talks and how yoga could make me a better person off the mat. Early in my practice, I thought my mat was a place that I could escape to, where I could I run from whatever it was that I was dealing with. My mat was my safe place where I could let myself feel. It’s where I learned how to confront different emotions that I spent years avoiding. As my practice evolved, I realized that my mat and yoga were the opposite of escaping. Yoga has given me the tools to cope with different struggles that I’ve had over the years. To say it changed my life is an understatement. I became a yoga teacher because I wanted to give other people what the practice has given me. Ayurveda is known as the “science of life” it teaches of the 3 Doshas ( pitta, vata & kapha ) these are made up of the 5 elements that create all matter on earth. Knowing when to tap into the energy of each dosha and aligning your daily rhythm with nature’s rhythm is important for optimal health, creativity, healing and productivity ✨ • The three Doshas and their elements • Pitta - energy of transformation ( Fire + Water ) 🔥💧 • Vata - energy of movement ( Air + Ether ) 🌬 • Kapha - energy of stability & grounding ( Water + Earth ) 🌿💧 • Between the hours of 6am to 10am Kapha is present. This is a good time to slowly rise with the sun, have a light breakfast, do yoga, exercise and practice self care rituals. Kapha is also present during 6pm to 10pm. This energy creates the perfect environment to wind down and favours having a light dinner (before 7pm), also reflecting and relaxing. It’s important to get to bed before 10pm if you want to fall asleep peacefully. • From 10am to 2pm is Pitta time. This is the best time to plan, organize and take action! Your digestion is at its peak during this time so it’s important to have your largest meal at lunch time. When Pitta returns during 10pm to 2am you will experience your deepest sleep, organ healing and restoration; subconscious action is assimilated and dreams are vibrant. • Vatta time takes place from 2pm through 6pm and is the best time to socialize and communicate. During this time your creativity is at its peak, study, plan, clear your mind or take a walk in nature. Vatta from 2am to 6am is when elimination begins and sleep is lighter. It is a great time to wake up early to meditate, visualize and create. Deixe suas culpas e certezas 5 minutos de lado e só fique descansado na sua respiração sem dar trégua para a elaboração de pensamentos. É muito mais simples do que sua mente imagina. . Depois você pega todas suas ideias, julgamentos e certezas e pode agir mais leve. . Como todo hábito, água mole em pedra dura, tanto bate até que fura! Então não caia na ladainha da mente que você não consegue ou que você tem um compromisso urgente para fazer. Simplesmente, refresque-se mentalmente! . At the end of the Day - or the beginning of it - Yoga is still effort toward the steadiness of mind. Get a piece of paper and make a list. Maybe grab a book of postures and get ready to explore ---> Which postures are most fun with others? Which bring a sense of vitality? Which pull us forward and make us feel energized for the road home? This is the hard part - can you find one or two poses for each of these three experiences or explorations? What postures did you pick? PARTE 3 – KAPHA & COCEIRA - Existe um ditado no Ayurveda que diz "Não há dor sem Vata, inflamação sem Pitta e coceira sem Kapha". Qual a relação de Kapha e coceira? Não é tão óbvia quanto os outros dois. A PALAVRA CHAVE PARA KAPHA É COESÃO, Quando este princípio se desequilibra, causa também AUMENTO DA LUBRIFICAÇÃO no corpo, o que causa congestão, produção de muco e leva Agni (capacidade digestiva) a baixar e desacelera metabolismo. Assim, o sinal principal de Kapha agravado é CONGESTÃO. E como o corpo normalmente responde quando algo está congestionado, entupido, inchado? Pois é, coçar, esfregar, massagear ou estimular a área de alguma forma (e os tecidos subjacentes) para aliviar a congestão. Imagina um balão gigante cheio de água, entalado na porta e ninguém consegue passar, como faz? Empurra, mexe, espeta, esquenta, tenta movimentar! Claro que nem TODA coceira tem origem Kapha, mas aí vai daqueles dois itens tão em falta no mercado: bom senso e auto observação. Quando a coceira vem acompanhada de outros sinais de Kapha fora da casinha como edemas, digestão leeeeennnnnta, ganho de peso com diminuição no apetite, muco, sinusite, sensação de estufamento, resfriados e retenção de líquido, com certeza é ele na fita. #ayurveda #ayurvedabrasil #kapha

It takes a lot of energy and gear to keep my body warm, so winter has always been uncomfortable. But a few years ago the wellness and wildness of my young children inspired me; once I woke up and started investing in my own comfort, I started to love winter. I feel at home in winter. There is nothing that brings me peace like the quiet woods while snow falls. I look forward to the season that requires a slow down. I am offered relief from stimulation by the season that brings darkness, recommending rest and introspection. I appreciate the creative opportunity to add the color and light that we miss while nature rests. I breathe more deeply because of the blanket of white. I will never return to the land of ignoring daily and seasonal rhythms. I will make choices that honor it, even if it means being misunderstood. Some of my favorite things: abhyanga (self oil massage), nasya (partner to neti), seasonal foods and spices (per Ayurveda), warming teas, vitamin D supplements, boots, flannel, scarves, fiber arts, beeswax candles everywhere, fire (campfires + pellet stoves), celebrating the solstice, working from home, books + puzzles, feeding the birds, fresh air + daylight on my face everyday, snowshoeing. In diesem wunderschönen ehemaligen Standesamt von Schwerin darf ich dieses Wochenende mein Ayurveda Basis Therapeut Seminar besuchen. Der erste Tag war schon so schön😍. Begleitet von einem super Dozenten ging’s heute voller Input los. Who better to say the words than my most beloved and trusted teacher. (Coincidently, the Vedic chant at the beginning is one of my favorite and I sing it often). The one and only #mayatiwari or as I and many others call her, #mothermaya In the short time I was graced by her presence in my life, I learned much from her. She gave me the honour to cook for her and the students of @wiseearth during her educational retreats. I learned more from her than any teacher in my life. I cherish the moments I spent with her at the sacred school and magical land and hope with all my heart to spend more time with her in the future. She taught me how to cook Ayurvedic foods, to connect to source by living each moment with #devotion and #gratitude, that there is #strength and #grace in surrender.. I have not seen her since 2005 and all these years later, I’m still learning things from her! I can hear her voice when I read her books. Sometimes, it’s like she’s whispering in my ear; conversations that I didn’t fully understand at the time, have profound meaning to me as I grow into my #wildwoman phase. 🥰✨💜I fit most of her speech... but Alas, could not fit the entire speech she gave here.
